live at stage left
Ever since I heard about the MacArthur Fellowship years ago,
I have secretly wished that someone would put my name in the
mix.

It probably seems unrealistic, but maybe unrealistic goals are
a good thing.

In the past 14 years, I've really strive to grow personally,
artistically, creatively, and professionally. These are in several
areas, not just one, but with the same focus in mind. I think I've
accomplished a lot and made strides in unusual areas that
many have never thought about attempting.

To this day, I still have a lot of goals I want to accomplish.
In my time, I will accomplish them, whether I were to receive
one or not.

My passion for what I do, would make me a worthy candidate and
one they would be proud of. I hope that someday, my name will
be nominated anonymously.

I believe I am someone who stands up for their mission that I
"show exceptional merit and promise for continued and enhanced creative work."
and that I am "...an investment in a person's originality, insight, and potential."

I will keep my wishful thinking that all the good things I do
will come to fruitation, in due time.

more later...

It's an annonymous nomination.
It's not even said who can nominate
or how it's done.

But they get thousands of names
and then they file through them
and choose about 20 I think.

So it's hard to know if one is
nominated. But when you know when
you get phone with not strings
attached, you know you are special
enough to receive the genius grant.
