Bookstores with Magic Sets

  • Aug. 29th, 2008 at 2:45 PM
hehe
When you get a magic brat and close up magician hanging
out at bookstore.

It means trouble.

Especially in the bargain section where there can be a couple of
them in assorted sizes, items by different manufacturers.

Last Friday, we were at Borders and my friend, Joe and I
were talking and walking in the Bargain section when we.
came upon a magic set.

Of course we are going to open it.

Then we saw 5 other boxed ones across from there. So
we moved over there.

There was the following:
~ Liquid Magic
~ Magnet Magic
~ Birthday Magic
~ Something else magic ( I forgot)
~ and lastly Food Magic

Yes indeed.

So Joe and I immediately opened it.
It was crazy fun.
The squeaking pickles.
The disappearing egg (not sure what the actual name is)
etc

These are made by Scholastic
and are actually quite nicely made.

All for $3.99!

yeah. totally cheap.

They are accompanied with a DVD and a book.

I am looking through the book and I approach the back.
And I recognized the one person in the three with his
infamous purple jacket.

Yeah, Danny Orleans.

We took all the boxes to the table by my parents.
Just opened 'em all and just had fun with them.

My mom loved the egg bag. Not the same thing my
dad did, but close enough. And she was doing the
effect while loudly saying "ALL GONE!.

Totally funny. Dad was having fun with the chop chop
cup and other little tidbits.

It was a blast.

Aside from that...

Wednesday night we met up with Danny who is in until
Monday from Branson and a mutual friend Jim Krzak,
who both are magicians. Went to MVP where Joe was
doing close-up and there are 25cent chicken wings.

We hadn't seen Jim in a quite a while. And he brought
a couple of photo albums, and we caught up. Did
some table magic and then we dispersed.

Fun night. Dad really enjoyed himself.
You can tell that the magician is still within him.
